Shortly after the news broke, a source told The Nation that the affair was "short-lived" and that Benjamin and Natalie "remain together." "He knows he made a huge mistake and is doing everything he can to forgive Natalie and keep his family together," he said. "Natalie is a good person and has no intention of playing in the media. "The most important thing is to protect the children and their privacy."
Another insider says the French director is dating a 25-year-old climate activist. "[Benjamin and Natalie] have not broken up and are trying to resolve it. "Ben has done everything he can to ask for Natalie's forgiveness," he said. "He loves himself and his family."
