Jada Pinkett Smith's response to son Jaden introducing the family to psychedelics
Jada has been open about using hallucinogens to treat her depression in 2021. This week, Jaden said that his mother is to blame for his psychedelic use.
Jada Pinkett Smith has spoken out about her son Jaden Smith's accusations that he brought psychedelic drugs into the family over the course of several months. “Everything is answered in the book,” Jedda, 51, told PEOPLE on Friday, June 30, about her memoir, “Worthy,” which is due out Oct. 17. Until then, he'll keep his mouth shut.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Jaden, 24, made the claim earlier this week at the Psychedelic Science Conference in Denver. "I think my mother took the first steps in our family," he recalls of his first experience with
psychedelic drugs. “For a long time it was just him, but eventually it seeped in and evolved and everyone found it in themselves.
Jayden also said that testing psychedelic drugs helped him form stronger bonds with his brother Willow, 22, and half-brother Terry, 30. He admitted that there have been many of these in the past. "But the level of love and empathy I felt for them both inside and outside of the [psychopath] experience was profound and beautiful."
Jada previously used psychoactive drugs to ease her depression before starting treatment, and said she took the drug in a November 2021 episode of Red Table Talk that aired on Facebook before it was canceled in April. "It doesn't work for everyone. I struggled with depression for a long time, and the herbal properties not only made me feel better, but also solved the question of how I got there in the first place." This is what they do. " she said. Jayden, on the other hand, said he started using psychedelics out of curiosity, saying that using the drug allowed him to see beyond his ego.
When it comes to his memories, the Matrix star said he leaves no stone unturned. "I think people have made a lot of assumptions. And you know what? Of course," he told PEOPLE.
