Kim Kardashian channels Kourtney's D&G black dress and veil wedding look after copycat battle
Kim Kardashian seemingly escalated the drama with her sister by wearing a Dolce & Gabbana ensemble that resembled one of Kourtney's pre-wedding outfits.
Kim Kardashian, 42, may have pissed off Kourtney Kardashian, 44, once again by copying one of her sister's wedding looks at a Dolce & Gabbana event. The SKIMS founder hit the label's Alta Moda Show in Puglia, Italy on July 9 in a dramatic black D&G corset dress with a veil. The outfit was reminiscent of Kourtney's ensemble from one of her and Travis Barker's pre-wedding events in Portofino, Italy last year. As fans know, the siblings have been arguing about D&G's knockoff outfits and their Italian wedding on new episodes of Hulu's The Kardashians. Chance? We think not.
Kim looked incredible in her D&G dress, which included a low-cut corset and satin skirt. She completed her outfit with an oversized gold pendant in the shape of a star. The mother-of-four arrived at the event with Domenico Dolce and her mother Kris Jenner, who also wore an all-black outfit that included a bodysuit and sheer dress. Everyone on social media was obsessing over Kim's outfit and mentioned that Kourtney might not be thrilled with her sister's latest fashion choice.
"Kourtney is crying somewhere right now," one fan wrote under Kim's Instagram post from the D&G fashion show. “Kourtney is shaking in her boots,” said another fan. Another person joked that Kim "didn't ask Kourtney for permission" to wear a black veil dress amid the family drama unfolding on Season 3 of their Hulu reality show. And now Kim may have just escalated the drama to a whole new level.
The tension between the sisters began when Kim collaborated on Dolce & Gabbana's "Ciao, Kim" shortly after Kourtney collaborated with the brand on her wedding in May 2022. Kourtney accused Kim of copying her wedding for her own benefit. The siblings finally cracked on the July 6 episode, and in a confessional, Kim vented about getting married in Italy and having Andrea Boccelli perform at the wedding before Kourtney did the exact same thing. In the end, Kim apologized for "putting the deal and the check" over Kourtney's feelings, and the two decided to squash the beef.
In the months since filming, Kim and Kourtney seem to be in a better place. Kim opened up about the family drama to TODAY's Savannah Guthrie before the show returned in May. “We've been there before and we'll always be fine. We are always family. That's how we were raised," Kim said. "But I'm also proud that everyone is really vulnerable. Because I'm sure many other families have gone through similar things, maybe at different levels and experiences," she added. "I'm proud that we're still so open and motivated to share so much.”
