Enjoying fame not only in Asia but even in Hollywood, Jackie Chan has earned a whopping $400 million over the years in the entertainment industry. The actor recently revealed his decision, after turning 69, what he wants to do with his million-dollar fortune. Whatever his plan, his fortune is clearly not for his son.
Jackie Chan, who previously claimed how unruly his son had become after his Western upbringing, decided not to give him his hard-earned fortune. Considering his son Jaycee's frivolous nature, Chan decided to donate his entire net worth to charity.
Jackie Chan expresses his disappointment in his son
After appearing in more than a hundred films and becoming one of the highest paid actors in the world, Jackie Chan plundered his huge million dollar fortune. But somehow his relationship with his son became tainted in the process of acquiring his property. Despite the privileges and luxuries, Chan expressed his disappointment in his son Jaycee.
On several occasions, Jackie Chan has discussed how his son inculcated untamed Western culture, expressed his grief. During an interview with SOH Talks & Ideas, Chan mentioned,
"We never dropped one rice on the table and we put the shoes like this [in a row]...but I see my son's shoes, one like this, one like that."
Stating that the son removed them randomly and did not discipline them, the actor said, “No discipline. Yeah."
Further, while talking about meeting his son for the first time in the US, Jackie Chan revealed how Jaycee was sitting on a chair. Chan was unable to reverently stand still while talking to his father and expressed how his son swayed during the conversation. “You don't know how to talk,” Chan reminded his son. The renowned actor was previously disgraced by his son when he was arrested for drug possession in 2014.
Jackie Chan, witnessing a major decline in his son's behavior and habits, decided to fix his hard-earned fortune. When he failed to change his son, the actor was no longer willing to leave his million-dollar fortune for Jaycee. More than a decade ago, the 69-year-old expressed his desire to donate his entire net worth to charity.
“If he's capable, he can make his own money. If not, he will just waste my money.” Jackie Chan shared.
Chan expressed his regret for not insisting that his son enlist in the military and spoke of his disappointment in Jaycee. With that being done, Jackie Chan is currently focused on fixing Jaycee Chan by making sure he makes money for himself. To prevent his son from inheriting, the 69-year-old actor is trying to force his son to take responsibility.

Although Chan and Jaycee have had a tumultuous father-son relationship, the actor is still trying his best to change his son. The martial artist created a difficult situation for Jaycee Chan and decided not to leave his $400 million fortune to his son.
