Shakira has been accused of tax fraud for the second time in Spain after failing to pay $7 million
The 'Hips Lie Lie' singer was indicted on September 26 for failing to pay more than $7 million in taxes to the Spanish government.
Shakira, 46, made the announcement in July after the Spanish singer was investigated for tax fraud. He was now officially charged on September 26, NBC News reported. The latest VMA winner is accused of failing to pay 6.7 million euros ($7.1 million) in taxable income from 2018. Spanish prosecutors accused Shakira of using a shipping company to avoid paying taxes.

According to authorities, the 36-year-old reported to the 46-year-old in Miami, where he moved after breaking up with Gerard Pike. No official hearing has been set for the latest allegations against Shakira. However, he is due to go on trial in Barcelona on November 20 on tax fraud charges against him. The Grammy winner could face up to eight years in prison if convicted in 2022.
