After a special advanced screening of the film, Cruise reached out to director Andy Muschietti and producer Barbara Muschietti, praising them and giving the entire team the "boost of confidence" they needed.
In an interview with GamesRadar, Andy Muschietti shared his excitement about Cruise's reaction, saying, "We're more confident in what we're doing because the movie was finished when [Cruise] saw it, so that's one thing."
Barbara Muschietti echoed that sentiment, saying it's rare to get sincere praise from someone who has no interest in the project. "It feels great because we worked so hard to make this movie," he said.
