Britney Spears shares brief news on breakup with Sam: 'Sometimes you close your eyes and look back'
Britney Spears shared a series of Instagram posts after her husband Sam filed for divorce after 14 months of marriage.
Britney Spears, 41, did not directly address her separation from Sam Asgari, 29, but has shared some intimate news that shows how she really feels about the end of her marriage. After Sam filed for divorce from the "Circus" singer on August 16 after 14 months of marriage, Britney took to Instagram the next day to share two cryptic posts. Britney's first post was a picture of a sleeping woman. "I always look back with my eyes closed 🙈!!!" Britney wrote and video.
The "Strong" singer shared a second video of a portrait of two women in an optical illusion. "How did you read this???" started writing. "This is interesting!!! I see it as a message in a bottle!!! Or a baby out!!! They whisper poison like Alice In Wonderland and wait to see if there is a cure or not!!! Little birds know who they are 🧠🧠🧠!! !" - Britney closed comments on both of her posts.
Britney's husband has filed for divorce after TMZ reported that the two have split amid cheating rumors. A source "with direct knowledge" reportedly said Sam confronted Britney about infidelity, which led to a "big fight" before she moved out. The personal trainer broke her silence on the split with the words she shared on her Instagram story on August 17.
"After 6 years of love and devotion to each other, my wife and I have decided to complete our journey together," said Sam. "We will always have love and respect for each other and I wish him the best. S*** happens. "It seems silly to ask for privacy, so I ask all members of the media to be kind and considerate."
Aside from a few cryptic posts, Britney hasn't broken her silence on the split. Britney is still estranged from family members including her mother Lynn Spears and sister Jamie Lynn Spears as she deals with her divorce. The site reports that Britney is still "reclusive" after meeting her mother and sister earlier this summer. "The meeting with his mother [in May] went well, but there was still a lot of hurt there, so they didn't reconcile," she said. "Britney is still crazy about Jamie Lynn."
Despite all the drama happening in her life, Britney is busy focusing on some special projects. Page Six reports that Britney is working on what it says is her first record since Glory 2016. Britney also has a memoir, "I Got a Woman," coming out in October.
